We arrived at Udon Thani Airport on the one hour Thai Airways flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. From here it was a road trip all the way up to Na Thom.
Udon Thani is approximately 560 km northeast of Bangkok and is considered Isaan’s gateway city to Laos. It is located about an hours drive from the Laotian border and has a population of approximately 225,000 people.
